With CES 2023 comes new laptops, and LG isn’t being left behind. It’s introducing two new machines, the LG Gram Style and LG Gram Ultraslim, each aimed at providing either innovative designs or extremely thin chassis.
Along with those two new designs, LG has brought updates to the standard Gram lineup, in 14-, 15-, 16-, 17-inch, and 2-in-1 models.
The LG Gram Ultraslim is the company’s thinnest yet. It’s just 0.43 inches thick, barely beating out Apple’s MacBook Air M2 (0.44) as one of the thinnest laptops ever made. The LG Gram Ultraslim also continues the company’s reputation for making some of the lightest laptops around, weighing just 2.2 pounds.
Despite those dimensions, the laptop still sports a 15.6-inch Full HD 16:9 OLED display with anti-glare and low-reflection coating. The 60Hz OLED panel is a nice addition, though the 16:9 aspect ratio is a head-scratcher as most modern laptops have moved to 16:10 (as have most of LG’s other
Under the hood, the LG Gram Ultraslim is armed with Intel 13th-gen Raptor Lake P-Series processors.
The LG Gram Style is next. It comes in 14- and 16-inch versions, and their focus is on elegant aesthetics. They feature glass designs with color options that shift dynamically with ambient lighting. Hidden haptic touchpads feature LED backlighting that illuminates with the user’s touch.
The Gram Style also features state-of-the-art components, including Intel 13th-gen Raptor Lake P-series CPUs, Gen 4 PCIe SSDs, and 16:10 OLED anti-glare, low reflection 16:10 displays in either WQXGA+ (3,200 x 2,000) at 120Hz or WQXGA+ (2,880 x 1,800) at 90Hz resolutions and refresh rates. Regardless of which you pick, these should be pretty specular-looking screens.
Dolby Atmos audio has also been added to enhance surround sound performance.
The standard LG Gram lineup has also been updated to Intel 13th-gen P-series processors. The 16- and 17-inch models offer Nvidia RTX 3050 discrete GPUs for additional creative performance. The LG Gram 2-in-1 follows the trend of updating to Intel 13th-gen Raptor Lake P-series CPUs, and will be offered in 14-inch 16:10 Full HD+ (1,920 x 1,200) or 16-inch 16:10 WQXGA+ (2,550 x 1,600) IPS panels. A number of pre-installed notetaking and drawing applications will be installed to support the LG Stylus Pen based on Wacom AES 2.0 technology. In our review of last year’s LG Gram 2-in-1, I didn’t find the screen to be particularly attractive for creators, however.

Finally, the +view Portable Monitor has been updated to feature dual USB-C ports. This will allow connecting to two devices at once and providing two-way power delivery to the display.
Availability for all these devices will begin in February, 2023, and pricing has yet to be announced.
